Rene Rickman

My best memory is of riding around Hardees in a cattle truck with my friend Marshall Clark. That might sound like nothing, but I was with good friends and that truck was huge and old and noisy. And for some reason it has stuck with me. I think the best memories are the ones that make us look back and feel loved and safe. And the ones that make us laugh. I also remember rolling someone's yard and their mom yelling "You little heifers, I'm calling the police." Sonia and I hid in separate places in the neighborhood until we got brave enough to run to the car.
One of my worst memories is of the humiliation of a practical joke played on me on the school bus, by a young man and 2 close friends.
We choose how our experiences, good and bad, will influence who we become.
