Marcella was one of my dearest cousins....our family will always miss her. She is in a much better place though with our grandparents and great-grandparents! Praise The Lord!
Marcella was a dear friend. We went all the way through scouts together. I learned of her passing the day of her funeral, so I didn't get to attend. That has always bothered me. One of the fondest memories I have of her is when I worked at Bi Lo's. As I was getting off work one night she came into the store. Afterword we went outside and sat in the parking lot in her VW van and talked about old times, and how life had been for her in college. That was probably the last time I saw her. She will never be forgotten and I will cherish that memory forever.
Marcella and I had been friends since we were kids - her Dad and my Mom worked in the big city of Clyde and we had a big time swimming in the apartment pools and doing fun, kid things. We also went to the same church and had many fun times in choir, handbells, and other activities. We continued to be friends during high school and after. She was a true and loyal friend, and I will always miss her and remember all the good times we had. Marcella has two beautiful children - Shanella attends grad school at the University of Florida, and Jonathan is in the US Navy stationed in Italy.
